Lee Roy Selmon has a history that combines family scholarship football and community service. First of all, he was brought up by Lucious as well as Jessie Selmon on a farm near Eufala located in Oklahoma as the eldest of their nine children. Two football. He is among the three brothers that played for Oklahoma. All three became All-America. Lucious Jr. Dewey was a starter for the entire 1973 season. He has worked on the Special Olympics Easter Seals Baptist Church Ronald McDonald House United Negro College Fund South Florida Institute Black Life Hall of Fame Bowl Committee. It's no wonder that Lee Roy was honored when the Junior Chamber of Commerce designated Lee Roy as among the most prominent young men across the nation. Lee Roy stood 6-2 in size and weighed in at 256 pounds as a college player he captained the 1975 team. In 1993, he became the as associate director at the University of South Florida. Selmon has been inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame since 1988. In 1995, the Oklahoma City Chapter National Football Foundation presented the Distinguished American Award for 1989 to Lucious Selmon, Jr. Henry Bellmon is the Oklahoma governor who made this presentation.
